ABOUT STEVE

EDUCATION

Steve holds a degree in Music Education from the University of Toronto. While there, he took numerous courses in vocal and instrumental pedagogy. Outside of school, Steve also took many years of private lessons in piano and voice. Under the guidance of his grandmother, his childhood piano teacher, he progressed through the Graded Piano and Music Theory corequisites of the Royal Conservatory of Music. Recently, Steve attended an Organ Academy hosted by the Royal Canadian College of Organists.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Steve has been teaching privately since 2002. Before teaching exclusively at his own studio, Steve taught at King's-Edgehill School and Dorian Hall in Windsor, NS, and before that at the Ontario Conservatory of Music.

PERFORMING EXPERIENCE
Steve performs across Nova Scotia as a professional singer and organist / pianist. He also has a passion for acting and has appeared in numerous musicals and plays. In Windsor, you may have seen him as Shrek, Sebastian, Scrooge, or Daddy Warbucks with Quick As A Wink, or as Javert with the Stage Prophets.
